Working For Private Property

I thoroughly do enjoy my job, I meet tons of new people every day and always enjoy the little chuckles we have about others.

My job entails me searching high and low for new estate agents to join Private Property. We offer various different packages to estate agents whereby they too can advertise their stock on our website. I used to train the estate agents on our system when I was approached by my boss to take over my colleagues position to sign new estate agents. I decided to take up the challenge after being hounded for months to take up the post. I love new beginnings yet sometimes I feel too comfortable and complacent in something I am already doing but after the 3rd time of being asked I thought "Why not?"

So now I am cold calling and doing presentations to small and large companies on our products and its packages. WOW, no one ever said it would be so tough, yes, I do strike it lucky with some people when they don't have their head in their bums and of course there are wonderful people out here but majority of the Estate agents are real banana's and are still stuck in the 1900's of advertising properties. We are sitting in the 21st Century where technology has overcome the world. You can do everything online nowadays from shopping for groceries, banking, advertising, networking and much more in the comfort of your own home/desk/lap OR even on your cellphone. Who couldn't ask for better marketing at reasonable prices.

So this is what I have to get across to some of these pumpkins who just don't get it and prefer to waste money in the newspaper where people use them to clean up dog poo, wrapping of glass ware or its already being chucked away because the rain destroyed it while it was lying in your drive way. Can you say "Throwing away loads of money". Ai Ai Ai, so typical, they take so much of your money just to have it used for crap.

The Tragedy in Japan

This morning was a peaceful and quite morning here at home, Jacques made me some coffee and Leila some tea. We were flipping through the channels on TV when we came across the Breaking news about the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan. All that was flashing through my mind was the poor families that have been affected by this terrible tragedy. I am very greatful that we are ok, my family is ok and that God is protecting us.

My prayers go out to all those affected in the flood/quake.

My Daughter Leila

It was a sunday afternoon when the pee pee stick said positive, I WAS PREGNANT! I couldnt wait for the day to arrive that our precious gift from God would be born, however knowing that good things come to those who wait. So every day that went by were those I cherished the most. 16 weeks later we found out that we were having a little girl, so the name hunt began. Cloe was the name Jacques wanted and I begged and pleaded and ganged his family up against the idea. The day he changed his mind was when I chose Leila. Her name means "night beauty" and is also an arabic name as well.

Both the families were all eager to meet Leila.

I had a wonderful pregnancy with her, I ate and ate and ate. Aaah the joys of feeding 2.

It was a Wednesday morning around 8am when we were rushing to get to our last visit with Dr. Viljoen before our due date which was the 14th of September 2009. We got to the doctors and he quickly put me on the heart and contraction monitor. I remember lying there and watching the zigzags on the sheet and still said to Jacques "Is that even normal?" When the doctor came back in, he looked at the form, went into his office, sat down and calmly said to us "Do you have your bags with you Miss Bentley?" I was totally amazed and said to him that I dont. He sent Jacques all the way home to fetch the bags while he quickly admitted me in to the labour ward. Bearing in mind, from the night before my stomach was tensing up so this was very new to me.

Jacques got back to the hospital around 11am, I had been walking up and down the halls to get the contractions to speed up, needless to say by 7pm Leila was still not born yet. After a lot of frustration and anxiety, the doctors all said that an emergancy ceaser was nesseccary.

Our Little Leila was born on 09/09/09 at 20:20 and weighing 3.2kg. It was the best day of my entire life to have her finally in my arms.
